We kindly invite you to attend the EChO UK National Science Workshop organized by the Royal Astronomical Society. This specialist discussion meeting about the EChO (Exoplanet Characterisation Observatory) M3 mission candidate will be held in London on the 11th of October 2013.
EChO is a mission dedicated to studying the atmospheres of extrasolar planets around nearby stars. It provides the first opportunity to investigate the chemical composition and climatology of a representative sample of exoplanets, going beyond planet discovery for an extended range of masses and temperatures from hot to habitable.
This one-day meeting includes a series of invited talks to present the mission concept to the wider UK community, summarising the scientific and technical cases.
Registration is now open (deadline30th September 2013), and additional contribution are encouraged in the form of posters.
We look forward to seeing you at the EChO workshop in October.
